Fall is a good time of the year to get your children going on making craft projects. Your children can give craft projects as gifts or keep for holiday decorations. Using a paper plate, clip a half circle out of its middle. Use fall construction paper colors, trace or cut out leaves. Add veins on the leaves. Attach leaves to outer rim around the paper plate with glue or staples. Put words of thanks on the wreath's bottom half.
Hang it on a door knob or propped up on a table. This ring project can be repeated with other decoration to match the season. To make a macaroni necklace use two or three tablespoons of rubbing alcohol and some liquid food coloring. Place raw macaroni in a plastic bag and add the colored mixture. Close the bag and work it until all noodles are colored. Remove macaroni and allow it to dry. Snip a thin elastic cord necklace length. On one end make a lacing string tape. String pieces of macaroni and tie together. Another project requires snipping equally sized pieces of red licorice sticks. Use pieces to sting a wreath or necklace for each guest.
Use three green unwrapped Life Savors before you tie the wreath. Place wreath on the quests plate. Create crepe paper flowers in holiday colors for table decorations. Take 6 pieces of 8”x10” of crepe paper in holiday colors. Accordion pleat sheets at the same time for even pleats. A green pipe is tied in the middle of sheets. Carefully pull pleats to pipe cleaner’s top to form a puffy flower. Use flowerpot with a Styrofoam base for the green stems. Cut pipe cleaners in various lengths giving dimension to floral arrangement. Fill the pot with flower moss or Easter grass.
