Fitness Tips for Seniors

Fitness Is For Everyone cautions seniors to check with your doctor before beginning any exercise program.  As a senior is it important to remain active and exercise to keep your strength up and retain your balance and flexibility.  If you are just beginning an exercise program, start slowly, rest between exercises and perhaps do your exercise routine every other day instead of daily.

Begin with simple exercises such as stair steps (beginning with right foot step up, followed by the left foot.  Then step down and repeat, starting with the left foot this time.  Be sure to hang onto the rail.
