Kid Crafts

Keeping your little one occupied you'll learn is going to become an ongoing, ever upgrading challenge that will have its successes and failures. Young children can usually be coaxed into participating in a project that sparks not only their curiosity but their imagination as well. Coming up with new fresh ideas to entertain can be tackled with a little listening, and little research and perhaps something that the kids in the past have acknowledged as fun.

One craft teaches our children to produce healthy snacks and to try and use this to substitute for more sugary treats. Have the children pick their favorite fruits. Have the children insert their favorite fruits in small plastic one ounce plastic cups. Offer them a little sugar sprinkled over or into it. Mind them as to their amount, and remind them of the significance of there healthy choices.

Making something that the kids will be able to keep and cherish over and over will make memories the child will not soon forget. Have the children bring their favorite hat or maybe just an old baseball cap laying around. Provide the kids with paint, glitter, glue, buttons, and markers. Use bottle caps, stickers, pins, to encourage the children to open their minds and explore the possibilities.

The pine cone feeder is a classic craft. This gives children a chance to embrace nature. Use this as a chance to explain to them they are helping to feed nature. Tie the pine cone about an inch away from the pointed end. Have the children use Popsicle sticks to spread a generous amount of peanut butter throughout the cone. Take your bird seed and roll your gooey cone on a flat service (on wax paper) to have it pick up as much seed as the cone will accommodate.

Next, help your kids find a good place to hang, somewhere they can trust will be found by our feathery friends. Whatever you choose to let your children indulge in, try and teach them a valuable lesson along with it. Mixing fun with values will not only keep our kids busy but will help to spark their imaginations for years to come.
