Cross River Rare Mountain Gorillas

According to the National Geographic there are only about 700 gorillas, an endangered species, living in Africa.  Tourists can go on a sighting tour and observe these gorillas for approximately $300.

MY AFRICAN TRAVELS informs readers of recent professional footage of the rarest of all gorillas known as the Cross River Gorillas taken in west Africa at the Kagwene Gorilla Sanctuary in Camaroon.  There are only about 250 - 300 of these gorillas and most of them are unprotected by law.  You can view this rare footage at http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/12/091222-cross-river-gorillas-video.html.  Conservationists are hoping that this video will call attention to this rare species and that the governments will provide more sanctuaries for their preservation.
