What Are Flavonoids?

Flavonoids are organic compounds found naturally in plants.  They are organic compounds that do not directly affect the growth or development of the plant.

"Hamentash Queen" brings information about flavonoids and its benefits.  Flavonoids are an excellent source of vitamin C and can enhance the power of vitamin C.  They are a natural source of antioxidants.  Flavonoids can help protect blood vessels and can help prevent excessive inflammation.  Flavonoids may also be helpful with weight control, in the prevention of cancer, and in boosting the immune system.

Flavonoids can be found in berries, (blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries), apples, apricots, pears, black beans, cabbage, onions, parsley, pinto beans, and tomatoes.
