Casseroles are economical and versatile and they can be prepared in a short period of time. Meat, vegetables, liquid, seasonings along with potatoes, pasta, or rice and you have a nutritious meal.
"Home Style Recipe Cooking" has provided an easy way to prepare a casserole. Cut meat and vegetables in uniform sizes, brown the flour coated meat in hot oil and set aside, and saute the vegetables until softened. Combine the meat and vegetables in a casserole dish, filling it to about three quarters full. Add seasoning and liquid (stock, red wine, or canned tomatoes), whichever one you want. Cover tightly and cook for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees until bubbling hot.
